I started Roam Free because I was a frustrated owner first.
Hi, I'm Taylor. I own and run Roam Free from Austin, Texas. This is the company I wish had existed when my wife and I first listed our Dripping Springs property.
When we first listed our Airbnb in Dripping Springs, we hired a property manager. Within a few weeks it was clear they weren't the right fit for us, or for the home.
So I took the keys back and decided to run it myself. I wanted direct control over how the property performed, how guests were treated, and how decisions got made. I wanted to see the numbers without a filter in front of them.
By the end of the first year we'd doubled the revenue our previous manager had forecasted, with almost perfect five-star reviews. That's when I knew there was a better way to run this business.
Roam Free grew out of that first season. Other owners started asking how we did it, and I started taking on their properties one at a time. The model is the same today as it was on day one: transparent fees and pass-through costs, owner-first alignment on every decision, and an obsession with guest experience as the real driver of revenue.
We've grown deliberately. Every property we take on is one I personally commit to. That's the kind of commitment you can only make when you've been the owner waiting on a phone call that never came.
Run by a family, for families who own homes.
I grew up in Houston, my wife grew up in Round Rock, and now we call Austin home with our daughter and a second on the way in May 2026. Weekends are for camping, fishing, or hiking. If I'm not on the phone with an owner, I'm probably on a trail.
That matters because when you trust us with your property, you're not handing it to a corporate queue. You're handing it to a guy who answers his own phone and treats every home on the roster the way I treat my own in Dripping Springs.
From our portfolio.
Two promises. Non-negotiable.
Transparency, always
No maintenance markups. No hidden onboarding fees. No surprise deductions. Every vendor invoice, every line item, every pricing decision is visible to you.
Owner-first alignment
I've been the owner on the other end of the phone. Every decision we make is filtered through one question: what would I want done if this were my home?
Central Texas & the Hill Country.
If any of this resonates, I'd love to hear about your property.
A 30-minute call, just with me. No sales rep, no pressure. We'll look at your home, I'll give you an honest take on what it could earn, and we'll figure out together whether we're the right fit.
